COCKTAIL HOUR BEGINS AT 5:00 PM
Our wedding celebration will begin at 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 15th. This is when food will begin being served. Guests are welcome to arrive prior to this to socialize, have a drink, or enjoy the house and grounds.
CELEBRATION ATTIRE
The bowties in the agenda link to suggested attire for the various gatherings we have planned, including the wedding celebration itself (also linked above).
FOOTWEAR
There will be a short grassy walk down a hill to the garden for the ceremony. The reception will be held either on the brick-paved patio or the lawn. Heels may pose a challenge, but are more than welcome, as are oxfords, loafers, or upscale sneakers or sandals. Bare feet are also encouraged.
AFTER ATTIRE
By 10:00 PM we're expecting the evening to begin winding down and we'll transition from wedding celebration to a chill after party under the stars. Bring comfy clothes to change into if you'd like.
WEATHER
We expect it to be about 75°F when cocktail hour starts, cooling off to 72°F by ceremony time and closer to 68°F by 11:00 PM. In the unlikely event that it rains, we'll move inside.

WHAT TO EXPECT
PHOTOGRAPHY
We've hired a brilliant photographer, who will document our wedding candidly. There will be no posed photographs, but many moments captured.

We ask that guests refrain from taking their own photographs or videos until after the ceremony.
FOOD
Hors d’oeuvres, both passed and stationed, will be served from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. This will be our primary meal for the evening. Expect creative, flavorful bites and bright, fresh stations inspired by the New England coast.

At 6:30 PM, the passed hors d’oeuvres will conclude, but stations will remain available until the ceremony begins at 7:45 PM.

After the ceremony, an abundant charcuterie grazing table will be set out, along with dessert.
DRINKS
A fully-stocked self-serve bar will be provided.
QUIET HOURS
Cranberry Hill is a home in a small neighborhood. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM. That doesn't mean we have to go to sleep, but we'll turn the music down and be mindful of our neighbors.
OUR VISION
You may have noticed we're doing things a little differently. It's not irreverence - it's intentionality. We've attempted to create an atmosphere that's right for us. We want an evening in which we can be fully present with the people we love most, that doesn't feel rushed or overwhelming, where we DO remember every little moment. We hope you'll enjoy celebrating with us.
DANCING
While there will be a bit of dancing, expect a few well-loved songs to share with someone special. We're prioritizing time for toasts and storytelling over the beloved traditional wedding dance floor.
TOASTS
For us, this day is all about connection. Storytelling is how people have always shared meaning - not just big moments, but small truths, memories, and perspectives that make us feel closer to one another.
We planned this evening around making space for that kind of connection. Setting aside time for your stories, reflections, memories, and toasts is about being present with the people we love, and it's a big part of how we’re choosing to celebrate.

Prepare thoughts ahead of time or just speak from the heart. There's no pressure if you'd rather not, but all are cordially invited.

Interpretive dances, magic tricks, serenades, and all other performing arts strongly encouraged. Break a leg.
