NICK & EM FINALLY GET MARRIED
EXPLORE
THINGS TO KNOW
Transportation
We are suggesting for everyone staying off site to uber if you plan on "celebrating" with us. Hotels and Bnb's will more then likely be less than 15 minutes from the venue.
Food & Drink
We’re feeding you breakfast and dinner like royalty on Friday and Saturday, and the wedding night will have a cocktail hour so glorious it may spiritually count as dinner. But lunch? That’s on you. Pack a snack, forage, or form a hunting party — we believe in your survival skills.
Sunset Time
Sun sets at 7:46 for those of you like us who loves the beauty and the colors. This will also be the time when our ceremony will take place.
WEATHER
NICK WILL FILL THIS IN
Cranberry hill estate
Cranberry Hill is a private AirBnB we've rented for the occasion. It will serve as our gathering place for the weekend and all wedding-related events will be hosted here.
A beautiful, colonial-style hilltop home built in 1924, it sits on 22 acres of land, including formal gardens and a private trail right to the ocean.
The estate is situated at the southern end of a small island on the Cape Ann peninsula, which is connected to the mainland by several bridges. The town of Rockport makes up the northern portion of the island, and Gloucester the southern.
A drive all the way around the island's coastline takes about 45 minutes, or plan for 20 minutes tip-to-tip.
Getting AROUND THE ISLAND
What the island lacks in parking, it makes up for in beauty & ambience. (Catch that subtle spin?)
While we highly recommend taking a windows-down drive around the island, finding a spot to park can be a challenge and an expense, particularly at the beaches & in Rockport. Consider arranging for a drop-off by another guest or plan to park at a distance
In our experience, Uber was quick & reliable, although reports vary & some areas have limited cell service. Gloucester Taxi is another option that locals recommend, but is cash-only & has some concerning reviews on Yelp (expect rudeness & you won't be disappointed).
PLACES TO EAT
Places to Eat
If you are looking for good food the search is over. Below I will be listing the places we have been to or know is worth your time. Take our recommendations as true to a fault.
Causeway Restaurant
If Gloucester had a comfort-food headquarters, this would be it. Come for the fried clams and lobster rolls, stay because suddenly it’s been two hours and you’re debating dessert like it’s a life decision.
Drift & Wave Kitchen
Come here when you want light, beautiful food and cocktails that quietly steal the show—easy plates for sharing, bright flavors, and drinks so good they may derail your original dinner plans (worth it).
Roy Moore Lobster Company
This is where you go when you want serious lobster with zero fuss. Order at the counter, eat at picnic tables, get butter on your hands, and briefly question why you ever eat lobster anywhere else. No frills, all payoff—bib optional, joy guaranteed.
Mom's Kitchen
Our absolute favorite breakfast spot—no contest. Come for the cozy diner vibes, stay for the ridiculously good sweet breakfasts: fluffy pancakes, powdered-sugar French toast, and pastries that feel like a warm hug. If you only eat one breakfast in Gloucester, make it this one (trust us).
Source Bakery
Come here for pastries so flaky they require a crumb strategy—and coffee that actually understands the assignment. Perfect croissants, beautiful baked things, and the kind of espresso drinks that turn “just a quick stop” into a full sit-down life moment.
WHAT TO SEE
Places to Visit
Start with the 1/4-mile trail from the venue that leads straight to the ocean. (Perfect for a romantic walk, deep life talks, or dramatic solo reflections.)
Lounge at Good Harbor Beach, or take a boat out to spy on whales like an awe-struck paparazzo.
Get weird at Hammond Castle, where medieval meets mad scientist.
In Gloucester, wander the harbor and see Fisherman's Memorial and don't forget to check out main street for a bunch of amazing old book stores and coffee shops.
Then Head to Rockport which is so picturesque it looks fake, like a coastal town someone designed for a jigsaw puzzle. Stroll Bearskin Neck and gasp at how cut everything is. Pose with Motif No. 1 like a true tourist and hit Front beach for a swim. It is all so dangerously charming
